In June 2017 The Cuckoo Choir was invited to sing at a Garden Party in aid of the Malagiri School Charity in the beautiful garden at Pangdean Barn.

Malagiri School is in a remote mountainous, poverty stricken, region of Nepal. Started a decade ago by the late Kevin Fossey, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton it provides education for the children of this rural area, giving them opportunity and hope for the future which otherwise would be impossible.

It was a lovely Summer day and the Cuckoo Choir entertained the visitors with four part singing from their varied repertoire and were enthusiastically and warmly appreciated and applauded. They were then rewarded with delicious cake and sandwiches and much needed cups of tea.

The Garden Party raised important funds for the Malagiri School and the organisers were extremely grateful to the Cuckoo Choir for their valuable and delightful contribution to the success of this event.
