The choir for people of retirement age or over
The Cuckoo Choir is a Community Choir for people of retirement age and over. We meet every Friday afternoon at 2pm in the Old School in Cuckfield. There are up to 60 choir members and we enjoy singing in harmony.
The atmosphere is friendly and informal. Each session starts with a social time when teas and coffees are served. This is followed by singing with warm ups and a wide variety of songs from folk, pop, classical, jazz and gospel which are taught either by rote or with sheet music. Being a music reader is not essential and practice tracks are provided.
Our main aim is to have fun whilst enjoying singing and making music together.
